Accommodation Rebate
MHF will provide a rebate of up to $250 per night, towards a 3-night stay at your choice of accommodation in Mildura and surrounding areas. Accommodation would need to be 30km of the Mildura Health Fund office, 79 Deakin Avenue, Mildura for one of our experienced midwives to visit you during your stay.
- Up to $250 per night (Max 3 nights)
- Following your discharge from hospital and post domiciliary care our experienced midwives or lactation specialists will be available, either in person or by phone, to provide you with help and information.
- A voucher for a physiotherapist to help with your recovery process.
- A gift pack delivered by our midwives during your first visit.
- A VISA gift card.
- An essential pack including nappies, maternity pads and baby wipes to use during your stay.
- Use of cot/bath and hospital grade breast pump for the duration of your stay*
- Access to our exclusive ante-natal Women’s Wellness Events
- Access to our exclusive post-natal Caring for you, Caring for Baby Retreat
Home Stay
The in home program offers you the services and support you need in the comfort of your own home. This option is designed to allow you to spend more time getting to know your newborn and time to catch up on your rest.
This offer* includes:
- Access to an experienced midwife or lactation specialist, either in person or via telephone, to provide help and information.
- A voucher for a physiotherapist to help with your recovery process.
- A gift pack to welcome you and your baby home.
- A Visa gift card
- Access to our exclusive ante-natal Women’s Wellness Events
- Access to our exclusive post-natal Caring for you, Caring for Baby Retreat
Note: This service is only available to homes that are within a 30km radius of the Mildura Health Fund office at 79 Deakin Avenue, Mildura*.
Gift Box Only
The gift box only option provides you with the following;
- A gift pack to welcome you and your baby home.
- Access to a telephone consultation with an experienced midwife
- Access to our exclusive ante-natal Women’s Wellness Events
- Access to our exclusive post-natal Caring for you, Caring for Baby Retreat
Note: Gift boxes are pick up only from our Mildura Office.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this service, you need to be a member of Mildura Health Fund, deliver your baby at Mildura Base Public Hospital and be covered by one of our Five Star Gold Hospital policies that include pregnancy and birth related services. A 12-month waiting period applies to new and upgrading members, and to members transferring from another Health Fund. Contact us to discuss your eligibility.
